1. Imagery used on this site
Every photograph on this website is a real industry photograph sourced from Wikimedia Commons and released under CC0 1.0, the Public Domain Mark, or a U.S. government public-domain dedication. These licences carry no attribution requirement and no restriction on commercial use, so the site does not depend on a visible credit line. The details below are published for provenance and for anyone auditing the asset set.
Images were inspected at full resolution before use. Photographs showing a legible third-party wordmark, company livery, vessel name or foreign-language site signage were rejected: a public-domain or Creative Commons licence grants copyright permissions only, never trademark rights. Images are resized and re-encoded to WebP for web delivery, with 800-pixel-wide variants served to small screens. Some hero and social images are deliberate crops of the source photographs.

4. Motion
The homepage hero video is an aerial pass over tankers at anchor in a coastal anchorage, created by Aidan Cooney, U.S. Coast Guard district 11 PADET Los Angeles, and released as a U.S. government work in the public domain. It was trimmed, scaled to 1280 px and re-encoded to silent H.264 for web delivery, and frame-checked for legible vessel names and third-party branding before use. It plays only muted and looped; visitors who prefer reduced motion or have Save-Data enabled receive a still image instead. Source: Wikimedia Commons.
