Freight & Logistics
Shipment coordination from nomination to discharge, managed from Almere, the Netherlands.
Service overview
A cargo only counts when it arrives on schedule with the right paperwork. CATOIL BV coordinates the movement leg of petroleum transactions: vessel nomination, laycan alignment, load and discharge windows, and the document chain that travels with the cargo. We do not own vessels; we work with established owners, brokers and agents and keep one point of commercial contact throughout.
Capabilities
- Vessel coordination — suitable tonnage identified for the parcel size, route and terminal restrictions.
- Laycan and scheduling — loading and discharge windows aligned between buyer, seller and terminal.
- Route planning — routing options reviewed with agents and port authorities where relevant.
- Document chain — charter party references, manifests and certificates coordinated to the agreed Incoterm.
- Single point of contact — status updates as the cargo moves, with direct communication.
Logistics considerations
- Terminal compatibility — product, temperature and segregation requirements checked against terminal equipment.
- Jurisdictions — port procedures, customs and local documentation requirements reviewed per destination.
- Parcel size — shipment mode (vessel, barge, rail, truck) matched to quantity and infrastructure.
- Incoterm alignment — who charters, who insures and where risk transfers, made explicit in the contract.
